SUBMIT AN ARTICLE FOR OUR NOIR MOMMIES

Noir Mommies wants to hear what you have to say! Send Noir Mommies your post/article/story to be published.

Please direct your pitches and submissions to DChatman@NoirMommies.com.  Please include all other relevant materials such as your resume, published work and areas that interest you.

Become familiar with Noir Mommies tone and our content before pitching stories. Please submit original content. Plagiarism is strictly impermissible. Noir Mommies retains first publication rights and the right to reuse or modify content. Guest writers, will benefit from attribution and a link back to your own site, if applicable. Please carefully read the terms of service before submitting material.

SUBMISSION GUIDELINES

Content:

• Our tone is professional with a sense of humor. We do not take ourselves that seriously.
• Noir Mommies = Positive Energy. Please refrain from negative comments, appropriate sincere constructive criticism is welcomed.
• Please limit plugging your company until the end of the article.
• References are not required.  Links for further information are acceptable.
• You are responsible for the accuracy and completeness of your content.
• Please limit submissions to 600 words (min. 400 words)

Writing:

• Creative, sincere, straightforward and honest content. Tone reflects mood of story accurately.
• Correct spelling and grammar: make sure to proofread and carefully edit your own work.
• Connect with your readers!
• Please limit use of filler words such as “actually,” “however,” “as a matter of fact,” etc.
• Always read your article outloud before submitting.
• Noir Mommies will copyedit and proofread your article for typos, grammar, clarity.

Completion:

• Send your article as a Word .doc or .docx file and txt. files
• Include original art separate from your submission (in a .zip file is fine).
• If your submission includes code, code figures can be embedded in the document.
• Include a brief one or two-sentence bio statement. If you don’t mind readers contacting you, this can include a blog or e-mail address.
• If you are referencing external content such as web sites, please make sure we have correct URLs in the document. (remove all hyperlinks please)
