No Ordinary Aluminum
I am a green mommie to my core, if someone refers to me as a tree hugger I really do not see the dig. I am also an extreme recycler anything made of paper, plastic, aluminum etc. gets thrown into my recycle bin and I am mean any and everything. I typically have so much in my recycle bins, there is an overflow and I have to use other containers that the recycle truck do not pick up. That is another issue I need to take up with my city; why the huge container for trash and a small bin for recycling?, is it too much to ask for a recycle bin the size of my trash can? The size of the recycle bin alone is sending a subliminal message on how much we are to recyle and then there is a the fact that the recycle truck will only pick up items it in the small bin.
Over the weekend I was in Target when I found my latest fav item. Naturally you would think I found a fitting dress, sexy lingerie, haute pumps No it is not clothing, shoes or accessories…..its aluminum foil. Yes, aluminum foil. This is not your Mommie’s aluminum foil this special roll is recycled, how cool is that? Originally I was reaching for the Target brand aluminum until I spotted the green container out of the corner of my eye. Oh the excitement, from a roll of aluminum! Consider me sold and a fan for life of recycled aluminum. Thank You Reynolds for helping store my left over in a true Green Mommie fashion.
Providing a better life for my child is always a top priority in my head. Wanting to provide my daughter a spiritual and moral foundation, great and well rounded education, culture, love of the art and the earth….shouldn’t I also care about the condition of the earth for her and her children? Most parents totally over look the condition of the earth and only think of education and generational wealth when we are considering our children’s future. Each man cannot continue to pass the buck on saving the earth expecting that someone else will take care of what we each are responsible for taking care of. And then there is thought that the government will fix it, not hardly. The responsibility lies in the hands of each of us as individuals. Choose green.
Cover a dish and save the planet!
