Redefining Beauty
I am not sure who was the one that decided the idea of beauty was a malnutrition woman, with pale skin, bone straight hair that obviously must be beyond shoulder length. I have decided I am redefining beauty and the new definition may not be found on the cover of Vogue or Elle magazine but is that a surprise? The new definition covers a wider range of women of all colors and shades, sizes and textures of hair.
• I am an exquisite work of an art, by a master of all trades, my saviour
• I am not 6 feet tall
• I am not 95lbs. I am 95 + a few more. I am not a size 2 or 4 neither are most of my friends. Real women actually range from sizes 2 x 4 thru 4 x 4
• I have curves and I would not want to be without them
• I don’t have straight hair, matter of fact I never did. I chemically processed my hair to get it that way. But I am more beautiful with the locks that God gave me.
• I don’t have flawless skin, I have been kissed by the sun and freckled with glamour
• I have pigment and I think its haute
• I am a virtuous woman
• I am strong, confident, intelligent and healthy
• I am a sister to my girl friends
• I am a wonderful wife and soul mate
• I am an outstanding mother to my child
• My body does wear the marks of child bearing and child birth, but I wear them with pride
Who is to say that is not beautiful?
Vogue would be so lucky to capture all of the beautiful women just like me

Awesome post!!!
